Storage Technology - Introduction

In the field of dynamic storage technology, gravity roller conveyors enable the simple and cost-effective transportation of goods and pallets without additional energy consumption. Whether in retail, industry or logistics centers, gravity roller conveyors from Rollex optimize your warehouse processes and save valuable space. At the same time, it is in the nature of the application to adhere to the first-in-first-out principle.

Rollex gravity roller conveyors are very robust, reliable and easy to install in existing systems. With our wide range of products, we can adapt to your individual requirements. Whether light cartons or heavy pallets - we have the right solution for you.

System Advantages

Dynamics and organization - Rollex warehouse technology

From the extraction of raw materials to production and sales - materials and goods are in constant motion. The task of logistics is to optimize routes and minimize warehousing. Efficient storage systems optimize the flow of goods, simplify goods monitoring and reduce warehousing costs.

Our dynamic storage systems offer the best conditions for accelerating warehouse turnover. In contrast to static storage systems, Rollex solutions offer short operating paths, optimum space utilization and multiple filling levels. They are also ideal for storing goods with a high turnover rate.

Storage principle

FIFO - Live Storage Lanes

The goods are stored on conveyor rollers and transported to the removal position by gravity alone, without additional energy.

Advantages

  • Easy monitoring of best-before dates
  • Self-running principle
  • Short operating paths when picking orders
  • Space saving compared to other storage systems
  • Optimum utilization of shelf space
  • Optimization of work processes and space utilization through spatial separation of loading and unloading
  • Permamently high filling level due to automatic re-rolling of goods

LIFO - Push-in racking tracks

Push-back racking lanes work according to the LIFO principle. This means that the goods that were stored last are removed first. Up to six 1000 kg pallets can be pushed into the channel using a forklift. Separation and deceleration is generally not required - this results in significant cost advantages compared to live storage lanes.

Advantages

  • Optimum utilization of space
  • Loading and unloading from one side enables the racks to be positioned against the hall wall.

Areas of Application

Buffer storage
As buffer storage in production, storage and retrieval is carried out by automatically guided storage and retrieval machines, e.g. for short-term internal buffering between two work steps.

Finished goods warehouse
Depending on the size of the warehouse, storage and retrieval is carried out by forklift trucks or storage and retrieval machines, e.g. for space-optimized storage of finished products according to the FIFO principle.

Picking warehouse
Here, goods are picked by hand, with order picking forklifts or using storage and retrieval machines. When picking small parts, the shelf front can be ergonomically designed in such a way that an optimum gripping curve results in short gripping paths, which lead to the shortest possible picking times, e.g. for compiling customer orders on pallets.
